How Many Articles Does it Take to Be Perceived as the Leading Authority on a Subject?

The question has been posed on the top online article submission site on the Internet. The number one article submission site on Planet Earth: "How many articles does it take to become perceived as being the market authority on a narrow or broad topic?"

This is an interesting question and perception is also a very interesting word as well. For one to be perceived as an expert in a subject matter they would most likely need enough articles to fill up a 50,000 word eBook. If their average article was 500 to 1,000 words then that would be between 50 to 100 well-written articles. Even if they cut them down to 300 to 400 word bite size articles on many various sub-topics we are still talking well over 100 articles you see.

If an online article author has fewer than 25 articles on a subject, it might be hard for a reader to perceive them as being a leading authority on a broad subject. Even a narrow topic they would need to be able to fill up a 10,000 to 20,000 word research paper and that would be about 20 to 40 articles. So, either way we are really looking at more than twenty articles before the reader's perception would be inclined to label you as an expert or leading authority from their perspective.

The fascinating thing about this subject is that it is indeed a reader preference call, meaning that there is no wrong or right absolute answer, so as the leading authority on online article authoring, I simply lead you with this thought to consider. You make the call.

Small Business Websites - Using The Global Internet To Reach Local Markets

The global internet is not as global as small business owners may think it is, in fact the global internet can be extremely effective for local markets. If a small business takes the time to develop their website to be an online marketing tool instead of just an online business card they could tap into a market beyond their expectations. The internet and website design are a tool and market that small business underestimate. The reason is most often that they think it is too costly. The truth of the matter is small business often make a very crucial mistake. They deal with a "website designer" instead of dealing with an online marketing company to develop their small business website.

So why would I call that a mistake? The reason is simple and what is worse is that many small businesses don't even realize they are making a mistake. Most of the "uncle john" website designers they are using have no idea what having an online marketing tool means. So their small business website becomes an online business card instead of an online marketing tool. To top it off, most of them choose a website designer that does not know how to optimize a website for local markets. So now one of the most effective marketing tools the small business could have had, has been completely wasted. If a small business would realize the potential of what a small business website could really be, not only would they have a much better marketing tool, but they could in fact end up saving thousands of dollars in advertising costs.

By simply making a good decision, and using a marketing company that specializes in small business marketing to build their website, the small business could streamline their marketing efforts. Wasting less money and making more, by putting a little bit more up front they could in fact be saving thousands of dollars a year while making more because their marketing is not only streamlined, but effective as well.

So the next time you see a small business without a website. Or you see a small business with a website that has "About us" as the first link on their website. Give them a friendly hint and tell them they could use their website to make money instead of tickling their ego. Be honest, is the information about the company really what sells and what should be the focus of a website from a marketing perspective? Or is it just there to tickle the owners' ego? Think about any large website that has had success, do they start by telling you about how long they have been around and who the owners are? What makes you think a small business website should be any different? It shouldn't be any different, what is different is that the large website or company understands how to use the internet like an effective marketing tool, while the small business owner does not. Make Keyword Rich Content With Ease

The struggle between literate, grammatically correct article composition and keyword seeding should not exist at all. Search engines are able to figure out the relevance of the content on your website to a user's query. Therefore, an article filled with a jumble of keywords will have lesser relevance than a well-written article containing lesser keywords.

Internet marketers who need SEO articles commonly require grammatically correct and literate compositions from SEO writers like me. The more I read and write about how search engines function and how they equate relevance with a high search result ranking, the more I strive to place overall composition above keyword content.

With relevant articles on your website pertaining to your products, ideas or services, you get more chances of directing the correct kind of surfer traffic to your website. Of course, this will mean a decrease in bulky but irrelevant traffic. However, as a search engine user, I find it annoying to see search results that have no connection to what I need to find.

Admittedly, most web masters prefer bulk traffic over highly relevant web traffic. The more the merrier, so to speak. In my experience, surfing the web without any purpose becomes tedious. It gets even more tedious as your experience in web surfing grows. Nowadays, I specifically surf the web with a purpose in mind. Armed with that purpose, I single-mindedly search for what I need.

It would help me to find what I need faster if the descriptive content of your website were relevant to my search. Having a nicely composed descriptive article about the idea or object I am seeking will make your website more useful to me. Because your website has been highly informative and usable, I will return there again to see if you have something that I need.

In having relevant and highly descriptive articles, your website satisfies two totally different necessities. The more relevant necessity for you would be a high ranking search result. The lesser, and often times unnoticed necessity, is that of having satisfied your customer.

The more relevant your content is, the more chances you have of being able to direct your target market to your website. The percentage of people who buy your product will definitely increase as opposed to a decrease in just passing thru or wrong turn traffic. In counterpoint, the more relevant traffic you get, the higher your sales figures go up.

Targeting traffic that isn't really interested in your website almost serves no purpose. I definitely won't try to remember the name of a website that has nothing of what I need. Memory retention of a website by people is very much minimal unless it has served the people well. Furthermore, to be redirected to an irrelevant website by a search engine is very much an annoyance. These websites that bombard their content with nothing but keywords are now getting penalized and banned by search engines so that they can avoid sending people to the wrong place.

How would you feel if directory assistance gave you the wrong listing? Naturally, the supervisor at directory assistance will reprimand the agent who gave the wrong listing. It's the same thing with search engines and web site. Search engines are trying to provide internet surfers with good service in order to gain more traffic. The more traffic they have, the more expensive their advertising space becomes. Along comes a web master who abuses their system so that all traffic is directed to his website. How do you think a search engine operator will react to or against the evil web master?

As a successful Internet marketer I could not find all the niches without key word elite.

List Building - How To Get Targeted Traffic To Your Squeeze Page?

There are different methods that you can use to build a list with one of the most common being to put an optin box on your website and offer your visitors a free gift for subscribing.

This is a good method and you should use it but one method of capturing subscribers that many Internet Marketers are now using is to build a squeeze page specifically for capturing your visitors.

A squeeze page is a page that is for no other reason than to entice your visitors to sign up to your list. You can do this by offering them some valuable information, gift or anything free in exchange for signing up to your subscriber list.

You can create your squeeze page so that it is a 'semi' sales page which you will use to 'sell' the free gift that you are offering so that your visitors won't be able to say no.

How to drive traffic to your squeeze page?

Write articles and submit them to article directories with high page ranking and mention your free giveaway in the resource box and you will have plenty of visitors coming your way.

It is also useful to visit forums relating to your free gift and have the link to your squeeze page in your signature.

When your subscriber list starts to grow you will have an immediate customer base to promote products to in the future. You can earn a lot more in income through sales when you have a good list to sell to. It is important to build up a good relationship with your subscribers and don't come across as a 'spammer'.

Gain their trust and they will be more than happy to purchase the products that you will recommend to them.

Are You Making These 3 Stupid Mistakes With Your Article Marketing?

Let us look at why article marketing is so popular at the moment. Prospects hate to be sold. By providing good solid content you can provide valuable information without the prospect realizing that you are actually selling to them. This creates credibility and trust for you as you will be seen as an expert in the niche that you focus on.

Some benefits of article marketing is that your content will primarily be viral in nature and they will be published on many other websites. They also help to improve your link popularity for your website and your search engine rankings.

Mistake 1 - Writing Your Article For The Wrong Reason Often because you are in a hurry to write an article to gain brand recognition, backlinks and build an opt in list you will write an article in a hurry. The primary reason for writing an article is to get it read and for it to be informative. If the article does not offer significant value people are unlikely to click through to your website in your bio and publish it on their websites.

Mistake 2 - Writing Your Article Without A Strategy

There are two main reasons that you will write an article. They are writing to brand yourself as an expert and also writing to build an opt in list. You need to decide what is your primary objective. Writing an article for creating expert recognition will mean demonstrating your expert knowledge. This will make your articles viral as people publish it. However, it may not be that successful for building an opt in list. So you have to decide if you are writing your article to build an opt in list or create your brand on the internet.

Mistake 3- Not Taking Advantage Of The Free Search Engine Traffic Often people will write an informative article that will generate some visitors when the article has been approved. However, once other articles are approved in the same category your article will no longer display on the list of recently approved articles in that specific category. So you will no longer get traffic if you do not optimize your article for keywords that are searched on by search engines.

Article Marketing or How to Get More Backlinks

Well, what is article marketing? It is one of the simplest ways of promotion on Internet. The principle is so: you are writing a good article, publishing it in one of the big article directories with the link to your blog, and then others copy it on their sites. Thus, if article is good, youll receive a big quantity of backlinks on your blog.

Many people dont use this way to promote and vainly! Using this method with a good links anchor text could increase your link popularity in times and the main - absolutely free. For example, if youre writing about digital cameras, post what is better to choose in this area and what advantages does it have and at the end of the article put the link to your blog with needed anchor text. Such link will be appreciated by search engines as no one other.

Im using this method for about 2 months and get a huge quantity of backlinks and visitors thanks to it. Where is it better to submit your articles? Ill try to show you.

The leader is - EzineArticles. This is the best and most trafficable article directory with excellent support and fast approvement. After posting of 10 articles youll be given platinum status and if your articles are correspond to their terms, you will be appropriate the status of the expert. EzineArticles give me from 2 to 10 unique visitors per day.

The second place in my list is ArticleDashBoard. It also has fast improvement of articles, Page Rank 6, but it gives small quantity of visitors on my blog. Though some of my articles are popular on this portal and many people copy them with my link.

The third is GoArticles. Page Rank 5, Alexa rank 6362 (incomparably with Ezines-608). Convenient and clear but no more than. Anyway it is useful to submit there for good link ranging.

For attraction of readers to your articles you will need to know some tips to use. Here is what I recommend:

* Keywords is your way to popularity. Try to choose small quantity inquires, instead of Digital Camera use Digital Camera Market Review.

* Good title will attract readers to click on it. Think out a clinging title, but dont try to deceive.

* Submit your articles in different categories. Your link should be everywhere.

* Change the description of the source. Use as much keywords as possible in it, but dont go too far.

Of course good article will attract more readers, but many of them will even not read it to copy to their blog. Everything depends on description and title.

I think that article marketing has a big future. Do not neglect of this way, the way of good increasing of your popularity. It will be returned a hundredfold.

Colorado Search Engine Optimization Companies - What To Look For

So, you finally got a website out into cyberspace and you're ready to start getting some traffic and closing some deals. It's a well known fact that just because you have a website, doesn't mean you're going to get visitors, no matter how pretty your site is. You NEED search engine optimization services unless you want to spend hundreds, even thousands of dollars a month on services like AdWords, Google's sponsored listings. Getting your website noticed and recognized in the search engines is vital if you want to be successful online.

But, where do you start? What do you look for in a Colorado SEO company? Most search engine optimization companies offer basically the same services, the differences only become apparent when you start talking about pricing. There are plenty of search engine optimization companies out there who charge upwards of 7 to 8 THOUSAND dollars for their services. The thing is, when it comes to the search engines, there are never any guarantees. Noone can guarantee they are going to get your site to be #1 in Google, Yahoo, or MSN. So, is it really worth spending that much money to have your site optimized? Maybe.... but probably not.

Always ask for an itemized invoice for work that has, or will be performed. Get a couple of different quotes and compare them. Don't assume that just because a company costs more that they are better.. that is NOT always the case. There are a lot of smaller SEO companies and independent contractors that will do the work for a lot less money than some of the bigger companies, and they'll do the same work.

Be sure to ask questions. The more you understand about what services are going to be performed, the easier it will be for you to evaluate your options.

It's a fact that you should have your site optimized if you want to compete in todays online market. Do your research and find the company that best suits your needs for the money you're going to be paying.

Best of luck!

Article Marketing 101 The Whole Thing in a Nutshell

Article Marketing is one of the best ways to bring much needed traffic to a website and we all know that more traffic equals more profit. Perhaps the biggest benefit of article marketing is that the traffic that it generates is highly targeted and highly qualified.

While this type of marketing is hands down one of the top marketing methods I have found that many people I talk to are either unfamiliar with article marketing or are intimidated by it. Read on and I will give you the entire basic strategy in a Nutshell.

Those truly new to article marketing may be wondering why anyone would want their article in the first place. The answer to this is content, content, content. Websites and other publications are constantly on a search for fresh, new content. The only way to keep readers returning is to consistently rotate the content. Article banks and directories fill this need. Webmasters and publishers use the articles as new content.

Article Marketing 101

1.) The first thing that you need to do is begin writing articles related to your business or niche. The article itself is not a sales pitch and should not be written as so. In many cases the article directories my reject an article that is. What you need to do is write 300 450 words which are informative and about your niche.

2.) Decide which of the article banks and directories that you wish to use when submitting your articles. Personally I only use a few and all of them require registration. In my opinion using only registration required directories shows more professionalism. Be sure that you read and abide by the editorial guidelines of the directories. Doing so will save you headaches later.

Take the time to make sure that you are placing your articles in the proper categories. You want targeted traffic to your website. Placing your articles in the correct categories will ensure that any traffic that filters back to your website is highly targeted to the niche that you are working.

3.) The final part of the article is the resource box. It is in this section that you want to lead readers back to your website. Always include your name, a real link (www.yoursite.com) back to your website, and 3- 4 sentences about yourself and/or your product. Give the reader a reason to want to visit your website

In conclusion please keep in mind that not every article you submit will be published, especially if you do not follow the editorial guidelines. Keep writing and submitting new articles daily. The more articles you get out on the article directories the better. Also keep in mind that article marketing is not an overnight thing. It takes time as do all businesses worth pursuing.

Article Marketing Vs Traditional Methods Of Internet Advertising

In this article I would like to compare article marketing with other methods of internet advertising. The main reason for this is that traffic is the lifeblood of your internet business. Without traffic you cannot succeed.

Article marketing is my favourite form of generating traffic to my website. The main reason for this is that it is free. So I do not have to spend any money and whatever I money I make it is complete profit.

However, it is wise to always diversify your strategies. If for some reason one of your strategies is not working then you have a few others that will be and generating income for you.

I am a full time internet marketer so running my business is a very serious thing. If it is not generating money then I will not have money to buy food.

Originally I built my business with free advertising like search engines and article marketing. Now I have started marketing using safelists, co-registration, ppc and email marketing.

Each method takes a lot of work to get it to work. You need to track and test everything so that you maximize your earning. However, once you get one method to work you continually do it to grow your business and focus on the next.

This is the plan of action I suggest that you take. Use article marketing as a strong base. It will get you good search engine rankings and build your credibility as an expert in your specific niche market. Also as your articles become viral you will get traffic from many different sources. As you start making money reinvest a large part of those profits that you are making into paid advertising. So that one day if there is a big algorithm change on search engines you will not go out of business.

List-Building: Building Seminar Relationships Can Increase Your List

When you go to a live seminar, you may not be going with the intention list building, but you should be. You'll meet people who have much larger lists than you do, and if you can strike up a relationship, your list building efforts can skyrocket your member numbers almost overnight.

But at first, youre not going to know a lot of people, which basically means at some point you might be a little uncomfortable. Thats the way it works with everyone when they start going to seminars. Youre standing around, you dont know anyone, and youre trying to figure out what to say without sounding dumb.

Respected people in the online marketing community may be a bit intimidating, but they are the people who will help you with list building, if you handle it right. Here are some pointers for making the best of a live seminar:

* Take your laptop and get an extended-life battery for it. That way you can work a lot longer without having to plug-in. Plus, write to your list when you can, and make them feel as if they're at the seminar with you.

* Bring three or four copies of your website on paper with you. Why? Because no one else will think of doing it, and when you get the chance to ask questions of someone you respect in the industry, you can just say, My questions about my website. Can you give me any suggestions on how I can improve my conversion or my sales letter? Here it is, on paper.

* Dont bring a whole bucket-load of extra books and marketing materials. Youll be inundated with information anyway.

* Bring business cards, but don't focus on giving them out. Focus on getting other peoples business cards.

* Dont pay attention to all of the people who are in your situation right nowdont listen to them, at all. Most of them dont know what theyre talking about and they probably won't have very big lists. Or, if they do have big lists, they don't know what to do with them. This isn't a judgment call. Most people aren't that good at marketing because they havent taken the time to get good at it. It requires a willingness to expand out of your current comfort zone in order to learn a new skill set.

* If there are one or two people who you really think you should get to know and meet, say, I heard you introduce yourself. I do 'this (whatever your business is, not "I'm interested in list building")' and Im interested in making my business grow bigger. Id love to talk to youcan I buy you lunch?

The most important tip is to listen and learn. But what you learn wont do you any good, without a list of customers. Go to a seminar with a solid intention saying, If I could learn how to produce $3,000 a month with my current business and I could do that in the next 30 days. Or, "I want to build a list of 5,000 people within three months."

Setting specific goals will help you achieve them, on a mental level. Doing this gives you something to work towards and a roadmap to follow. More often than not, people say, I just want to make as much money as fast as I can," or, "I want to build a big list. Thats just plain stupid.

Have some very clear goals set, even if theyre not entirely real, and youre just setting goals in order to have them when you get to the seminar. Listing specific goals is incredibly beneficial because it will help to focus your questions and your mind with all of the things that youre learning. If you have a general goal, youre literally going to miss the majority of opportunities that will be presented to you. But if you go there with the right mindset and you're prepared, you could walk away with some pretty good business relationships and though you may not know it, a potentially huge list.

The Top 3 Ways to Fail at Article Marketing

Everyone seems to agree that articles are a phenomenal way of getting a good foothold in your online niche space - with all of the tips, tricks and fads, it seems pretty certain that article marketing will be a solid and secure strategy for years to come, right? What amazes me nonetheless is how SO many people seem to take a simple and straightforward strategy and just muck the whole thing up in the name of a few quick bucks and a quick end around approach to building a real business, rather than simply putting in the effort to make it happen.

The good news it this: If you aren't one of the sheep at the back of the pack buying into all of the boisterous buffoonery that the guys at the top want you to believe, and are willing to work hard, articles that you write for both content, and promotion are going to give you a HUGE leg up on your lackluster competition. For the rest of you who are going for the quick fix, here are a few of the TOP ways you should keep in mind as you strive to chase your tail for another few years..:-)

1) Don't write ANY of your own content. Simply spend your paycheck buying PLR memberships, article spinners and content creation programs. The guys selling all of these programs REALLY appreciate your patronage, and should you make the rash decision to actually create some unique, valuable content, many of these guys would have to find another meal ticket to milk. This wouldn't be nice to do, especially around the holidays.

2) Mass submit all of your articles to EVERY directory on the net. The more times your exact article shows up in every PR 0 and 1 directory online, the more of an authority you appear to be. Remember, all of those splogs that are carrying your content is a good thing - and paying that service to ensure that your apple pie recipe shows up in the travel directories database does help too. The more the merrier.

3) In your resource box - make sure you talk A LOT about yourself. How Internet Marketing Is In Your Life

Generally, buying and selling is the physical market activity. We go to the shopping malls and get the things we want. Now, with the growth of the Internet users the face of marketing has changed. The world is experiencing a novel market, that market is Internet market. Generally saying, we use the term Internet marketing to refer to the practice of buying and selling over the Internet.

The scope of the growth of the Internet marketing is unimaginable but the causes of this kind of massive expansion are very clear. According to the Worldwide Online Population Forecast, 2006 to 2011 report by JupiterResearch, there will be 1.5 billion people with Internet access in 2011. The biggest growth in the online population would occur in Brazil, Russia, India and China. Also, according to that report, by 2011 almost 22% of the Earth's population will surf the Internet regularly. The report also says 1.1 billion people currently have regular access to the Web.

Such a huge enhancement in the number of the Internet users is mind-blowing. Now, the question may arise as why such a huge growth in a particular stream in such a short time. The answer would be, because of the services they provide. You name a service and you can find that over the Internet. Internet is providing customers from life partners to mobile phones. Such is the range of their services and internet marketing is very helpful for proper marketing of these services through various methods.

Various methods of the Internet marketing like search engine marketing, e-mail marketing, viral marketing, blog marketing, affiliate marketing etc. is providing these online services directly or indirectly. Online marketing services are educating companies and websites regarding various online marketing tools and these companies are generating more revenue by utilizing these tools.

Internet marketing is also affecting online ad spends on a very large measure. According to the report of PricewaterhouseCoopers, the total U.S. internet marketing spend was $16.9 billion in 2006. Such is the impact of the Internet marketing and fact is that it is growing day by day.

Moreover, we can say that online marketing services have played a major role in such growth of the Internet marketing and they will play bigger roles in the future.

Article Marketing - 5 High Impact Steps to Make Money Through Article Marketing

Article marketing is still the best way to make money over the World Wide Web. Whether you are into affiliate marketing or selling your own products, this amazing promotional tool can drive quality traffic to your website or to your product page that can easily augment your sales potential and your revenue.

Here are the 5 high impact steps to make money through article marketing:

1. Absolute URLs or anchor texts? Which is more effective in driving readers to your website? Based on researches and various studies, people respond better to anchor texts because they are based on keywords that people can easily identify with. Use them on your resource box to increase your conversation rate.

2. Start your articles with great titles. The first element that your potential readers will see on your article is your title. You have to make a great impression on this part or your content will be ignored. You must persuade online users to check on your articles by telling them upfront what is in store for them through your titles.

3. Know your competitors. To stand out above the rest and for you to take the lead, you must understand the strategies being used by people whom you are up against. Identify their weak points and adapt their strengths to improve your marketing strategies.

4. Write more. Strive to multiply the number of your output to easily increase the number of your inbound links. Just remember not to sacrifice the quality of your articles or your marketing strategies will go down the drain.

5. Solicit feedback. If your articles are not converting the way you expected them to, ask your readers or some experts on your chosen niche for feedback and recommendations.

Article Marketing Make It Easy On The Reader

Article writing is hard work, so you need to ensure that the reader actually gets to read your article. Why because an easily read article gets spread around the internet like wild fire and is your perfect viral marketing process.

Make it easy to read: Most computer based readers scan a web page or email searching for the information that they need, so you need to help them:

* Have an eye catching, descriptive title.

* Have lots of sub titles just like in the article.

* Use bullet points to make it quick and easy to assimilate the information.

* Get to the point quickly.

* Use easy to understand, jargon free, wording.

* Introduce your article with a short and interesting opening paragraph.

* End your article with a good conclusion.

* Leave them wanting more information and use your resource box to show them where to get it.

Make it easy to use: Getting your article read is one thing, but you also want it to be published by as many people as possible. Heres some salient points:

* Make it the right length under 350 words for ezines, under 750 words for web pages and under 1250 words to be included in ebooks.

* Make it grammatically correct and ensure you spell check. Best to use American spelling even though the Brits invented the language!

* Make it interesting, humorous or contentious or all three if you can.

* Dont ramble get to the point, expand on the information and close the discussion.

* Write as if you are writing for one eager to learn person keep it personable.

* Dont include words that are likely to trigger spam busters.

* Make it relevant, useful and your own work!

So good luck in your article marketing.

Marketing Research - Strategies for a Winning Marketing Plan

It's time for a new marketing plan and some of us would rather have our fingernails pulled out than sit down and work out a new strategy. So we put it off or wait for the new year to start this project, because the new year is a time to start over, to put the past year behind us and to make resolutions for the coming year. But, there is nothing that says we can only make resolutions at the beginning of the year.

One definition for resolution is, "A course of action determined or decided on." A marketing plan could be considered a course of action determined or decided on for the operation of a business. A marketing plan encompasses every aspect of a business. It is more than selling, more than advertising and, it can be done any time of the year. Furthermore, it can and should be reviewed several times a year.

Often, we start a new marketing plan by taking up where the old plan left off. We review that plan, maybe update a few items. We start out by asking "What went wrong? What went right?" This approach assumes all the data is in and all that is needed is to eliminate the things that did not work out and beef up the things that did work.

While that is a legitimate and very workable way to approach building marketing strategies, the focus is a bit narrow. It does not help shine a light on new opportunities, changes in the marketplace or industry, or new methodologies that might improve efficiency. Furthermore, the best marketing results come from tightly focused marketing that clearly communicates to a targeted audience.

In a workaday world that gives us little time for reflective consideration, we often tend to rush this process and assume that the company is doing what it should be doing, selling what it should be selling, marketing to the right audience, and is organized and staffed the way it should be. This year, let's take a moment and ask ourselves more questions about the market, our audience, our resources and our competition. Your marketing plan can take a whole new direction when you get the answers to questions such as: "Is this still the right thing to sell? Is this still viable? Is this what people want? Does it still fit with our corporate identity and mission? Who wants this product or service, and what are the benefits they believe they get? How do our company, our products and our services compare to similar companies, products and services in the marketplace today? Has our competition changed their product or business model?"

Once you get a good feel for the marketplace and any new opportunities or challenges coming from outside the business, it's time to take a look inside with questions like: "Have we added capabilities, skills or knowledge that suggest we serve new markets? Are there capabilities, skills, knowledge or equipment that we need to develop or acquire? Or should we be narrowing our focus to take advantage of specialized skills and services? Have we tried to become everything to everyone? Could we be number one in a niche market?"

If you honestly evaluate both the external and internal influences on your business or product, it becomes easy to develop a marketing mix for success. You will learn what you need to be telling clients and prospects and you will know who that target audience is. You will likely get information that indicates where your marketing and advertising budget should be allocated.

Whatever questions you ask, just be sure to ask them. One tip: If, like most of us, you don't have time for a long client and prospect survey, study what your competition is doing and evaluate what they do that is truly successful (not just everything they do), and look through your own customer records for trends, problems and successes.

Marketing Article - Why Write Marketing Articles?

At this point, I am going to assume that you write articles. So why write marketing articles?

I think that one of the reasons is that people are looking for marketing articles they want to learn how to do marketing, especially online marketing, web marketing, article marketing, etc.

When you write marketing articles and post them online to the various article directories, including the one this one was originally posted to, you gain web traffic via the search engines.

You see, people online search the web, and they generally will read the articles that come up in the top ten results of their search results in the search engine they used. And the big article directories, especially the one that this was originally published on, have the page rank to get your article to the top ten results, especially for 2nd and 3 rd tier and long tailed keywords.

So when you write marketing articles, you get world wide readership and that can mean world wide visitors to your web site. An astonishing number of the people that visit my web site, although I am in the US, are in countries all around the world. Literally all around the world. I think I have subscribers in every continent around the world maybe excluding Antarctica so if you are in Antarctica you know what to do!

Anyhow, write marketing articles, submit them to the top 5 article directories (or at least just the one this one was published first to) and watch the traffic roll in. By the way, you have to write more than 2 or 3!

Wise Article Marketing Strategies

If you are an article writer, you may have been submitting your articles to ezines in order to get your name out there. Ezines are wonderful in that they give the unpublished author the opportunity to market their name without the expense of advertising. At some point you may wonder if you can be compensated for your work. The answer: yes, you can. Through implementing wise marketing strategies, you can earn money for your work and receive steady income. Here's how:

Your Website If you don't already have your very own website, set one up and feature some of your favorite articles. You'll create an extra set of links to articles you already submitted to the ezines. Make sure you have a contact form in place to allow interested parties a way to get in touch with you.

Blogging A great alternative to a website are blogs. If you don't have the time or money to manage a website, you can create a blog and have links to your articles appear there.

Message Boards/Forums If you run a well respected and busy forum, consider letting your members know that you write articles as well. If you don't run a forum, but you are a moderator, ask the forum administrator for the opportunity to promote yourself in exchange for your work.

Craig's List This site is the king of all sites. You can post your resume, your small business ad, look for work, join a club, etc. In most cases no fees are ever charged and it can be a great way for you to network. At the very least, any link you place in your "ad" will quickly gain you a good link with the search engines. One caveat: most ads run from between 10 and 45 days, so you will need to manage your ads in order to remain marketable.

Paid Sites If you are serious about making some income on your articles, consider investing in yourself and joining a paid site. Many will allow you to have either a free trial period or a basic membership. To receive the full benefit of the site, you will need to upgrade. Guru.com is one such site for you to consider.

Trade Associations If you write on a specialized topic, such as railroads, contact your local trade association and see if they are in need of a staff writer. Many associations will give to you a small stipend. If not, see if you can get a free membership or some other type of discounted service for your work. Cash is cool, but free services are nice too!

Email Lists In this day of overreaching spamming, getting an email list together of people who will actually read your emails can be difficult. Instead, join a list-serv and discretely share your talents with members there.

Article writing for profit can take time and it will usually require a lot of legwork on your part before you get established. Still, it can lead to bigger and more profitable ventures for you as long as you stick with it. If you are good at it, it may allow you to quit your "day job" to pursue what you really want to do. What can be better than that?

Real Estate Marketing Strategies - Are You Sabotaging Your Own Success?

Have you ever felt like you had reached a plateau and could go no higher? If so, you're not alone, many people sabotage their own success. This article teaches you how to reverse self sabotage. In my work as a real estate business coach for the past 12 years, I have had many people present a similar question, "Why can't I be more successful? Why do I stop myself? I feel like I am my own worst enemy."

If you've ever felt this way, you're probably suffering from a pattern of self sabotage in which you get in your own way. While on the one hand, your conscious mind is saying," I want to be more successful," your subconscious mind is caught in a "Fear of Success syndrome".

There are several things that cause people to be afraid of success:

1. They associate success with Stress:

It's a prevailing idea in our society that if you want to be successful, you have to work hard, struggle and strive. Many of my clients have done that and reached a place of "burnout". Then they are faced with the dilemma of wanting to move forward, but having a very unpleasant memory of what it was like before.

They need to work hard at reprogramming the self limiting belief, "To be successful you have to work very very hard," and replace it with an Empowered Belief, such as "I am committed to working smarter not harder."

2. The next self limiting belief that stops people from success is "I'm not worthy or I do not deserve."

Usually we are not scripted to be successful when we were growing up. Rather we were scripted to fit in and not bring too much attention to ourselves.

We often incurred criticism when we felt too good about ourselves and heard things like, "Who do you think you are?" Being boastful was considered conceited and a definite "no no". Many of us over generalized and made the mistake of thinking that we shouldn't think too highly of ourselves, and if we did someone would shoot us down.

The truth is that a healthy level of self-confidence is necessary to be successful. In addition, happiness is feeling good about you. If you've been carrying any of the old beliefs that make you feel unworthy, I urge you to replace them with empowered beliefs, such as:

  • I am more than worthy of prosperity
  • I am highly deserving of an abundance of all good
  • It is now okay for me to feel good about myself
  • I give myself permission to feel pride in the work that I do
  • As I share my expertise I am worthy of being amply rewarded

Practice these Empowered Beliefs frequently to raise your level of deservingness.

3. The "gung ho" vs. " comfort zone" conflict

Let's face it; in order to be successful you do have to leave your comfort zone. Moving forward always involves some risk.

However what many people fail to realize is that staying stuck in your comfort zone also involves risk. What risk? It's the risk of not fulfilling your potential, the risk of staying at a low financial level, the risk of never reaching your dreams.

It all of us there is an inner struggle between the part of us that wants us to dream big, and the part of us that wants us to settle for what we have. Usually some inner "conflict resolution" will help you to realize that you can have a win-win between both parts of you.

The "gung ho" part needs to realize that you need a balanced life with plenty of time for self-care and self maintenance. The "comfort zone" part needs to realize that the comfort zone is not safe, and that sensations that are labeled fear can just as easily be labeled excitement as you find the growing edge of your comfort zone and move beyond it.

To reinforce the balance of these two parts of us, I recommend these empowered beliefs:

  • It is now safe for me to grow and expand
  • I'm committed to creating success in a balanced way

Here's one of my favorites, "In an easy and relaxed manner, in a healthy and positive way, I create total financial success, for the highest good of all".

Let this be your mantra and allow yourself to grow into your full potential with ease and grace.

Tips to Improve Search Engine Traffic and Designing Search Engine Friendly Web Site

Look around on the internet and you will come across several websites that have tips on how you can improve your search engine traffic. But before I get on to the tips, let me work first to clear a few misconceptions about search engine traffic.

  • If you think that the moment you submit your website to a leading search engine, you will have traffic, then you are wrong.
  • Also if you think that if you follow an SEO program for one month and then stop it, you will have traffic, then you are wrong again.

Search engines are a peculiar kind of software that works in strange ways. You need to understand it carefully and then work towards creating a steady flow of traffic to your website.

SEO in mind

If you are planning to use search engine optimization, then you must plan it right from the moment that you are designing the website. A lot of people use the latest technology like CGI, frames, java, Ajax, perl etc without properly structuring it.

The result is that the search engines get confused and your listing goes haywire. The trick is to create a website with these in mind. You can use the above mentioned technology. But use them in such a way that it creates minimum impact on search engine spiders. Once you have the website ready, run a maintenance check on it. This is also one of the overlooked aspects of a website. You need to remove any errors on the website to avoid visitor disasters.

Understanding and accepting waiting periods

Every one has a certain waiting period associated with it. During this waiting period the search engine looks to gauge the trust worthiness of your site. The only way to speed up this procedure is by following legitimate SEO practices and sticking to it. You might have to wait for years in some cases while in other ones, your website might be listed in a few months.

Internet Marketing Strategies - 10 Killer Tips To Achieve ANY Web Success!

The main goal of a website is to attract visitors and keep them coming to your website time and time again. Even when you build a stellar number one professional website, there is never a guarantee that there will be a substantial amount of visiting online users. Here are 10 tips you can apply to your internet marketing approach that will assist you to succeed with your website.

1) The Internet; the preferred choice for the new millennium.
The internet is a wealth of information that through technology allows the online user to interact with the information available at their own leisure and pace. A very good approach for your website is to provide as many means to acquire various different options to your visitors of obtaining the specific information desired.

2) Time is Money
When a visitor is viewing your website you need to grab their attention quickly and keep them interested in your product or service. Do not over crowd your website though, for that can be disinteresting and seem complicated. A webmaster is most effective if the information provided is perceived to be clear and concise to the visitors.

3) Design a Website that is Customer Friendly
The needs of your customers need to be satisfied not the needs of the company. Always post content that is beneficial and useful to the customer. Try not to over-flatter the company for that may seem indulgent and arrogant to your visitors.

4) Visitors should remain Involved
Keep your visitors involved for they should always feel like a valued customer. Maintain communication open with your customers. A good way to achieve this is to ask for feedback on your website and as well obtain an email. This way you can always have a registry of your visitors and try to develop a relationship with all your potential customers.

5) Always Keep your Information Up to Date
A webmaster should always maintain the most current information available to their visitors. Although there should be information on your website that will not change much, changing information always sparks interest and warrants a visitor return. Always provide tips and techniques that solve simple everyday problems.

6) Be Vigilant of Design and Form
Big graphics can sometimes be perceived as an over kill and often are more appealing to the web designer more so than to the customer. Always try to be appealing to all your visitors. Keep in mind some visitors use dial-up connections and if it takes to long for your website to load that can often cause disinterest. Do make your website inviting and exciting, be aware that internet users commonly enjoy being entertained.

7) Promote your Website
It is always best to use a web form. A common use of this is to use the Push/Pull method. A website should pull their visitors in and your websites should push content back to its visitors in the form of a newsletter among other materials. Always have a mailing list and use it.

8) Be Attainable
The Internet is used by millions, when you set up a website make sure to keep in tune of what is happening with your visitors and other related websites in your genre. Always provide an email for direct contact. You should always be available to your visitors.

9) Attract Repeat Traffic
Always provide contest, newsletters, forums, blogs anything that would warrant a return to your website. Do not just provide links that just send potential customers away, always explain how they relate to your website as to give your customers an invitation back to your website.

10) Track your Traffic
Always be well aware of how many visitors are looking at your website daily. Are they participating in your forums? Are they spending a considerable time on your website? The answers to these questions allow you to fine tune the needs of your visitors. A successful website always appeases the needs and wants of its targeted audience.

Internet Based - Affiliate Marketing - Article Marketing

How does writing Articles fit into Internet Marketing?

One of the main strategies that I have used when I first started Internet Marketing was writing Articles. In fact this article that you are reading now was created on a Article based web site called EzineArticles.com. There are many pros to writing articles and putting them out online to help you with your Internet Based - Affiliate Marketing.

With the new Web 2.0 and blogging sites popping up all over the internet today, it is quickly becoming the newest wave to hit the world wide web. Like it or not, it is here to stay. What Web 2.0 is all about, is social networking with like minded groups of people. This way people can belong to different blogs or groups that match their interests.

Well if you are good at writing, even the tiniest amount, then writing articles to put on blogs will help you on your marketing efforts. Articles, such as product reviews, specification documents, how-to, etc can all be used in conjunction with blogs and marketing your product or service.

The other great thing about article marketing is that it is free. This is truly a strategy that every beginning internet marketer should be using as it helps get your mindset focused on how to be creative in selling your product or service. The more you do it, the better you get, and ultimately when done right, the more money you will make. This is such a great strategy that everyone from beginners to pros need to be consistent with as you want to market to the pulse of the audience that you are targeting.

Why I recommend also recommend article marketing because you can earn money to fund more advanced strategies like PPC (pay per click). This is a very smart move on your part to do it this way. Too many people try Internet Marketing by using their hard earned dollars first, then jump right in and spend, spend, spend on course that is out there. Tossing money at PPC is also highly risky when you do not know what you are doing. What happens is you get frustrated, broke and give up. Don't let this happen to you. Go the article marketing route, get the pleasure of earning some cash, then use that money to fund your business. It is a win-win at this point.
