Unlock The Secrets For Optimizing Dynamic Sites For Better Search Engine Rankings In Google

I am sure that if you have a dynamic website i.e. a website using a scripting language like php or asp then you will probably have problems with the search engines indexing your web site. I had a website using php and I had serious trouble to get the search engines to index it.

Now the main problem comes in that you usually will have a dynamic page and that page will reference other dynamic pages to represent the information in your database. Usually search engines do not follow other dynamic pages from a dynamic page. Also all your content will look identical as they will have the same title and heading tags with the content from the database being different.

The way to get around this problem is to first design your php code to represent the title and heading tags based on your database. So for example if you have a classified web site the title of the page will become the title of the advertisement and similarly you can make the heading this as well. This will give you unique pages that Google will index better since Google does understand dynamic pages as long as the content is unique.

Now to get around the second problem you would have to design static pages that you link to from your home page. Each static page can represent a category so for example if you have a car classifieds website you can create a different static page representing a different model e.g. Ford cars. Now from this static page you will have to create new code to link to all the detailed pages based on this category. Your detail pages will be dynamic pages based in php or asp.

Finally, ensure that you have a site map as this will make it easier for Google to understand your website properly.

Top Ten SEO Tips Anyone With A Website Can Implement

Im going to start with the basics here. The following are ten things everyone with a website should know to gain online visibility in search engines. These are the basics of the basic and when applied will give you a firm basis to start a long term Search Engine Optimisation campaign. The structure of your website is important, just as much as the structure of your link building campaign. I know these may seem rehashed, but they are the building blocks for a good SEO campaign.

1) A Keyword Rich Domain. While not always possible, when setting up a new website, consider setting it up on a domain that contains the sites main keywords. Search Engines give considerable weight to a website with keywords in the URL. Never use a keyword stuffed domain (ie. www.your-key-word-here-and-another.com)

2) Title Tag.

The title tag on your page is the most powerful on page factor you can control as a webmaster. Use it wisely. Carefully choose which keywords are going to go in here and remember that it will be read by humans as well as search engines. Never stuff keywords into your title. It only devalues its weight and makes you look spammy.

3) Heading Tags.

The second most important on page factor you can control is the heading tags. Not only are they useful for search engines to determine the context of your document, it is semantically sound HTML practice.

4) Bold, Strong and Emphasis Tags.

While there is no set answer to which carries more weight, assume that both are the same. Emphasize keywords in bold using the BOLD or STRONG tags. Search engines give more weight to keywords if they are emphasized.

5) Keyword Rich Text.

It is always possible to rank for search terms when they are not on your page but using them sparingly will only help increase your search engine visibility for these keywords and

6) Structured Navigation And Correct Internal Navigation.

Make it easy for search engines to index your entire site. Use a text link navigation. I this is not possible, use a sitemap or second text navigation in the footer of your site.

7) Keyword Rich Internal Links.

Use your sites main keywords in the anchor text when linking to pages within your site. This not only describes the link to your visitors, it also lets the search engines know what content is on the page being linked to.

8) Avoid Flash.

While some search engines claim that they can index some flash content, it is still in its infancy. An entire website does not need to be built in flash. Use it wisely and make sure any text that is output by flash is rendered as html text so search engines can see it. If possible, avoid flash completely.

9) Avoid Duplicate content.

Search Engines do not like duplicate content. Make sure all the content on your website is different on all pages. Many navigation elements, headers, footers etc. is the same, but make sure that each page has marginally more unique content. Some search engines give a penalty for duplicate content, while others just ignore it. Just make your content unique. If anything else, it benefits your site visitors.

10) Keyword Rich, Relevant Inbound Links.

A relevant, keyword rich inbound link is the holy grail of online marketing. There are many ways to get quality inbound links to your website. Directory Submissions, Article writing/marketing, Press Releases, Posting in forums and blogs, Link Exchanges. Obtaining inbound links is the undisputed king of SEO tactics.

The Most Valuable Skill To Have As An Internet Marketer

The most valuable skill to have as an Internet Marketer is writing. Other people believe that the most valuable skill is email marketing, or sales marketing. But...if you learn the art of writing, then you'd able to write content for your website, write your own ebook, write your autoresponders emails and of course you can write your very own original articles. Articles are a way to get you unlimited traffic to your website by writing short articles related to the subject of that site.

The benefits of writing articles are tremendous. Writing articles creates the traffic you need to make money. And best of all it's free. You can submit your articles to Ezine publishers and article directories, which can expose you to tens of thousands of Internet users. Of the thousands of readers who read your articles, some will click the links in your article, Visit your site, and purchase your products. Articles build trust and credibility. Readers who do click to your site are pre-sold Because they see you as an expert.

Learn how to write articles

When I started writing articles I was overwhelmed by the numerous subjects. Don't start letting yourself come up with the reasons why that could be true for other people but not for you. You can learn to write articles from the beginning to the end. And as you get experienced you will find it more enlightening every day.

There are thousands of resources on the Internet that teaches the skills of writing. Here is a free resource that will teach you the art of writing your own ebook in less than a week. Just send a blank email to get more information to ebkmkec-2108@responsebot.com This will teach you the in's and out's of writing your own ebook, and that's a start for anyone willing to learn copyrighting.

You don't need to write a masterpiece. You can write from 300 to 500 words articles in no time. Your Heading is the most valuable piece of your article. You need to grab the readers attention from the beginning to the end. When people read articles they want information they can use right away. Write about a subject that will be beneficial to the readers.

Submitting your article

After you finish writing your article and decide to submit to the articles directories, make sure you run a spelling check, and check what format is required plain text, html or both. Add a resource box and list your website URL. List your URL both way wrapped and the link itself. Some of the articles directories stripped hyperlinks that are wrapped.

When you submit your articles to Ezines check their publishing guidelines, since they differ from those at the articles directories. Find out what are their guidelines, before you submit your articles. There are utilities to format articles or solo ads for submitting to Ezines the best one I found to be Ezy Ezine Ad Formatter. See my resource box and send me an email for more information.

Don't plagiarize someone's else's work since most of the article directories check for this on the web. You can acquire new articles ideas by visiting the articles banks and FAQ's on various sites on the Internet. Or you can use unbranded articles written by ghostwriters or from membership sites that you belong to.

Pick good keywords

Getting to pick the good keywords is very critical to the success of your article. You need to choose the best keywords and you'll choose the right audience for your article. It means you connect with the most potential targeted traffic on the web, this way you can earn more with your sales, and it's free.

Match the keywords to your article content and you'll reach an audience that wants what you're promoting. Be specific. If you're selling ebooks, use specific keywords like 'how to ebooks' instead of general keywords like ebooks. Someone searching for ebooks could be looking for any kind of ebook, and for many different reasons.

This is what you need to remember, writing articles creates the traffic you need to make money. They build trust and credibility. That there are thousands of Internet resources that teaches writing skills. Choosing the right keywords is critical to the success of your article. The difference between a good article and a mediocre one is often the difference between successful site that earns thousands of dollars a week and one that barely make ends meet.

Article Marketing - It Can Be Like a Snowball Gaining Size and Momentum With Every Article You Write

One might ask the question, what is more important genius or quantity? If you think genius, than you are probably still focused on the wrong thing, your ego. In article marketing, ego kills. The facts are that 86% of people, who publish articles at ezine articles, never publish 10 or more articles. Why, because they did not see the results they expected after 3 or 6 or even 8 articles.

I can only tell you from my own experience that when I built my first website, I was told that I had to write 30 articles to start with. I think I got to 26 or 27, and then I took a very long break from writing. I was happy with my results, but felt like the effort was significant. Not something I could do every day.

For the year after writing those 27 articles, I probably submitted about 10 articles. This is not a significant effort. Let me also say that I had not seen the results I had hoped to have seen up to this point either. You keep hearing it over and over again though, *You have to publish articles.*

Finally I read an article in the, *Internet Marketing Dirt,*by Matt Bacak, that said that you should be able to write an article in 10 minutes. No, really, he said that you should be able to write 6 to 10 articles in an hour. So, I decided to write 5 in a row as fast as I could. The first two, took well over an hour each, but the next three, were all written in less than an hour each.

I now have over 30 more articles written and published, 10 of which, I did in two days, and I have the confidence that I can write an article in 30 minutes. Let me preface that with, I have to be writing article sets and I have to be writing about something I have had at least one hour audio training on.

Now that I am shooting for 50 articles, what do I have to offer from my experience so far? Well, as my confidence in my own writing grows, I now know I have one thing that I can do anytime and my effort will build on my previous effort which is going to grow exponentially (meaning it will continue to produce targeted traffic exponentially). And, I have confidence that I could write about more topics, and even create products of my own.

For example, right now you can go sign up for my ezine, soon you will have a 10 page pdf on article marketing that I will have written myself as an incentive to sign up for my ezine. Like I said the work just keeps building momentum.

What if Dan Iverson could show you how to write about any topic on earth and make money? He'll teach you how to better understand human nature as it relates to e-commerce; how people, from their perspective, come to make a purchase on the Internet. I am talking about learning how you can pick a topic of interest, write about it, and with the right tools and a little research find connections between your readers and real products and services, of which you can become an affiliate and make money. Here is the best part. I will teach you all of this absolutely free. That's right, click on this link and you'll get the full Affiliate Masters Course Free. This is no joke, I promise once you start to read this course, you will see and learn the logical system of affiliate and information marketing. It will open your eyes to the greatest and most versatile opportunity in known history: the Internet. Even if you have a website, you can use these techniques. http://aggressiveinternetmarketing.net/free-tool.html

SEO Secret - Don't Tell Anybody!

Content, content, content is the mantra. Then many gurus go on to espouse 'go for the long tail keywords' - it is easy to get top rankings for these keywords. Tosh - more of this later.

Long Term Keywords

Say you are trying to create a page on your website that is targeted at the keyword "Directory". Hey that is a highly competitive keyword with 977,000,000 competing pages. However, if you design a page targeting "top submission list of business directories in UK", the competition is down to just 240,000 pages. So the gurus will tell that is easier to get a top ranking on that phrase - its true but is it worth it?

Proportionate Effort

How many vistors will you get for such a phrase? Probably peanuts - remember you still have to create the page, and promote it with a linking strategy. So how many long term keyword phrases (and content pages) will you have to target to get reasonable traffic? It is also probably true that sites with high rankings for "directory" or "directories" or "business directories" will also do well for this long tail keyword phrase because the power phrase is "directory" or "business directory".

OK - if you go for the killer phrase, nobody is going to kid you that it is going to be easy! Aiming for a 1000 visitors a day from one keyword phrase has its attractions though! But as before you have to create the content and have an extensive linking strategy. However, even if your ultimate aim is a Page 1 ranking, one of the side effects is that you will rank well for long tail keywords anyhow as the campaign rolls out. For example, you will start to rank well on various combinations with the keyword "directory" included.

This is not going to happen overnight but there are plenty examples where small companies have taken on the big boys. Even for example in the highly competitive market of Golf, at least one of big hitters started from nothing and competes with the big boys.

Article Marketing - Having Useful Links Back to You

Do you think article marketing is just about getting links back to your site? At first, this could really be the main purpose of having your articles published to article directories or ezines. But then more than this reason, you should also need to consider many factors.

First, you just do not put in information that is useless to your readers. As much as possible, everything should be helpful to your audience so that they would be able to read up to the end of your article and further more up to the resource box.

Second, write as if you are conversing with a friend. Pure information that are written in a boring mode will surely shun away the traffic you wanted. That link that is provided on your resource box will not serve its purpose if people will not read your boring article. Liven up a bit and be conversational with your article.

Third, use a catchy title. This is the icing of the article. If this icing tastes yummy, then you can expect that the whole cake will be eaten. Your title is the deciding factor. Give your readers the reason to read the entire article.

All of these factors will actually lead to having that link being used by your readers. You need to make sure that your article will be read and would serve its main purpose of advertising your site. With this link, you would get to achieve a profit that you never expected would be the result of article marketing.

Internet Marketing Secret to Success

Ive always said there are no secrets in Internet Marketing. But sure there are. The Google search and quality score algorithms are secrets, pretty much, just as a quick example.

However, when someone is trying to sell you his latest greatest secret that got him a huge bank account, and he used those secret techniques never before revealed: Bah, humbug.

So, technically, the above headline is just to grab attention.

However if you arent aware of something, its a secret to you, so with that in mind, Id like to reveal my secret 8 steps to Internet Marketing success. Here are the steps you have to take to make it:

* Wanting

* Attempting

* Learning

* Believing

* Focusing

* Working

* Achieving

* Enjoying

I might have left something out in some situations, but for me, wanting, attempting, and learning consumed (as I wrote in my book) about 3 years of my life. Totally consumed it, in fact.

Then I finally learned what I needed to learn (for me it was Campaign Blasting), and I finally reached the step of believing.

The last 4 steps came in rapid succession.

Regardless of your current status, you can reach step 8, I have no doubt about it at all, if youre willing to do what it takes. I mentioned on our forum recently that I expect that most of our members are at least on step 3, and most are on step 6.

In reading posts on other forums, I see too many at step 1, and fear they will be there forever. For example, I saw a post the other day. The person wanted to earn $6,000 in 4 months, and he wanted suggestions. Someone gave him a good suggestion to try Bum Marketing, and his response was Im not interested in writing articles.

Uh, excuse me? Im not interested in getting out of a warm bed on a cold day, either, but some things require doing some things that you arent interested in doing.

Read the steps. Do the steps. Leave out a step and youre asking for trouble, IMO.

Where are you today? What can you do this month to get to the next step? Ask yourself how much it would be worth to you to get there. How much time? How much effort? How much money?

Step 4 (believing) can be the quickest to achieve, and the hardest to achieve, at the same time. Some people have a devil of a time because their guard is up, non believing all the hype around them. And that can be a good thing. But then again, if you believe everyone is a scammer and a liar, who will you choose for a mentor?

It sometimes takes an ah-ha moment like I had in 2005. I read a report written by someone that I knew and trusted. I said if he can do that, I can do that. And then, just like that, I did that. The rest is history.

For some people, believing doesnt happen until they see someone close to them do something amazing. Many know the story of Roger Bannister, the first person to run a mile in under 4 minutes. Prior to his accomplishing that, it was widely believed that no human being could perform that feat. Soon after he did it, several others did also.

What happened there? Did they become stronger or faster in a few weeks? Did they learn a new technique? No, not at all. All that happened was that suddenly they learned that running a mile in under 4 minutes was in fact humanly possible.

If he can do that, I can do that, they said. And they did that.

Youve heard it many times: "What the mind believes, it can achieve."

Easier said than done, I know. But there are techniques that speed up the process.

Dennis Becker is the author of a "5 Bucks a Day". In the book he divulges the life-changing strategy that took his Internet Marketing income from $30 per day to over $700 per day, including one project that netted a $38,000 profit in only 8 weeks time. 2008 Online Marketing Predictions - Going Social, Mobile and Global!

Say goodbye to the Year of the Pig (2007) and hello to the Year of the Rat (2008). That's Chinese for welcoming in the New Year with their own set of predictions. For example, Rat people work hard to achieve their goals, acquire possessions, and are likely to be perfectionists. Their ambitions are big, and they are usually very successful.

History is littered with predictions. If you make enough of the, some are bound to be true! The web is its own "animal" and goes by its own set of rules. However that does not stop me from offering my online marketing predictions for 2008. This year could very well be the Year of the Subscriptions, Mobile and Social Networking.

First, I want to wish you all the web success for an exciting, healthy and profitable 2008. And now for my Top Ten:

1. Subscriptions will be the currency for social networks. The fees will be modest, but they will continue to replace more conventional advertising streams. For example, Skype and Twitter will add subscription charges for enhanced features like groups and they will compete for top social network status as the useless applications, intrusive advertising and annoying emails from Facebook continue to turn off users.

2. Social networks will be the key driver of brand success as consumers increasingly trust each other's opinions and distrust advertising and corporate propaganda.

3. Mobile will be the "fast food" of the year. You are on the move and are hungry for instant access to information. iPhones and similar devices that deliver true mobile Internet access will replace laptops that everyone hates to carry.

4. Companies including YouTube, blip.tv and Seesmic will expand and cooperate to include group collaboration and meetings.

5. 2008 will be the year of collaboration and intellectual partnership, internally and externally. Companies will start forming synergistic groups that work toward improving or bundling products and services that will result in saving time, money, work effort and brand reputation.

6. Special lighting for web cam broadcasts on Seesmic will be the hot new products as video increases in importance. People can now look like people and not like their driver's licenses or passport photos.

7. The Internet will play a growing role in the 2008 election with people trusting plebeian's opinions more so than packaged candidate ads.

8. Privacy will be a key issue of the year.

9. Google stock will hit $1000 a share and split. Search is growing and people are hooked on more.

10. Predict one through nine for next year - that's why they are called predictions. However, it's a sure bet some of these will come true in 2008.

How To Get High Rankings And Master Your Main Search Engines Optimization Part 1

It was such a glorious day for me when the light bulb finally went off and I first began to see the results from my hard work in the area of obtaining high rankings with the search engines. As I looked back on that day I realize it all began to happen for me when I developed a business plan and then worked my plan with every site that I built.

Let me first summarize the whole concept and then I'll go back and give you the details. My outline for getting high rankings with the search engines is as follows:

  • Do everything with Volume in mind....traffic, traffic, traffic
  • Focus on continuous targeting with every action you take
  • You must be constantly Testing and Tracking
  • Conversion
  • If you are doing all the above then you should see Success, if not then re-evaluate.
I'm going to be very brief here simply because I could actually write a book several hundred pages long on this subject. If you want more details then go get part 2 of Master your Main Search Engine Optimization. You first need to figure out how you are going to go about getting your share of all the traffic from the internet. There are the best ways to succeed at this, although there may be different variations on this...
  1. Create a search engine friendly blog or website. Give them what they want. Work within their guidelines. Don't try to cheat the system. Each search engine has a blog that you should visit and find out what the experts are saying. Tap into that free information and take action on what you discover. Play thier game. Understand what they are looking for, which phrases you have and the "weighting" of these phrases, how much of a resource they see you as, how many good sites are linking to you, and how relevant they think your site is. Relevancy is the Google ethos.
  2. Directories. Get listed with as many as possible because this is a great source of free traffic that is also targeted. To do this effectively you will need to use a Directory Submitter.
  3. Links. Pay close attention to how you place them on your site. The anchor text is very critical. Don't direct your visitors to "click here". Use keywords in your link that reflect the content of where you are sending your visitors with the link. Take a close look at my links in this article to see what I mean.
  4. Content. I know that I may appear to be beating a dead horse, but so many people ignore the fact that content is still king.
  5. Advertising. Not every source of advertising is beneficial. Stay away from most of these sites that sell you so-called targeted traffic. Get traffic from reliable sources by first doing your research. In most instances if you Google the website you're considering you will usually find some page that has already been set up by a third party that already knows about the reliability of the site. Check it out.
  6. Joint Ventures and affiliate deals. In many cases this is done effectively by joining a social networking site and getting to know people from similar fields of business who are willing to work with you to promote your site in return for your assistance.
If you only have one site at this time then I want to encourage you to work on every aspect I have mentioned here on a daily basis. I guarantee you that you will begin to see the results very shortly. This is not a get rich quick process. It takes work. But if you're going to try your hand at it then you might as well do it right and get high rankings in the search engines.

Fast Article Marketing - Announcing 7 Targeted Secrets to Improve Your Article Marketing

Everybody would like to explode their article marketing efforts these days to improve the benefits they get from this technique. If you are one of them, take these 7 targeted secrets so you can easily get ahead of the pack:

1. Keep yourself abreast with latest information about this method. Every so often, expert marketers discover new ideas that can make article marketing much easier and more effective. Don't be left behind by constantly reading articles or ebooks about this amazing marketing technique.

2. Utilize automatic submission software. Manually submitting your articles on various publishing sites can be tedious and time-consuming. Save valuable time by having them automatically distributed. You will have to spend at least $20 for this service but the time you can save can be used in increasing the number of your articles.

3. Improve your keyboarding skills. Learn how to type fast so you can finish your articles quicker. There are various online keyboarding sites that can help you improve your skills for free.

4. Learn how to do "batching". This is the process of writing articles in batches so you can effectively manage your time and still be more productive.

5. Hire some help. To get more things done, some marketers are hiring either ghostwriters or article posters. Though this technique can cost you some money, it can increase the number of your submissions in no time.

6. Pick easy to write articles. Based on studies and various researches, "How to" and "10 tips" articles are the easiest and quickest type of articles to write as they only require a brief introduction and numbered list of your ideas or tips.

7. Write more. If you wish to produce more output, I suggest you write additional 2-3 articles per day. This will give you at least 14 more articles per week.

Backlinks - What Are They, How You Get Them, And What They Do For You

If you have just started a blog, or created a wonderful website, you may be skimming through page after page of forums, blogs, and articles, looking for ways to make your creation better. It is good to want to make your website aesthetically pleasing or amazingly easy to navigate, these two aspects of e-business are a must for long term success. However, there is something that may be even more important than what is on your page when you first start out, and that something is backlinks.

Backlinks are links that are found on another website leading to yours; they are the clickable text that allows you to move from one website to another. Search engines consider the number of backlinks a site has to be a very good indicator of its quality and popularity. The number of backlinks, and their quality, are one of the many factors that search engine algorithms use to rank your page in the search engine results pages(SERPS). Many SEO consultants claim that backlinks account for about 80% of a page's placement in the search engines, the other 20% being related to your content and the websites format. So, you see, if you want your page to get traffic when people type one of you keywords into a search engine, you need to acquire backlinks, and usually, tons of them.

How should you start a link building journey?

Step one in any link building campaign should be a competitive analysis. Competition on the Internet is fierce in many niches, and in most larger markets, established websites have thousands of backlinks. Don't be discouraged, the rewards will be well worth the effort if you stay focused and don't quit early. Link building is a longer term process in search engine optimization, it is usually something that takes several months or even years to come to fruition.

To examine your competition you need to first determine which keywords you want to rank for in the search engines. Say, for example, that you have a site about high heels. Well, you would want to rank well for the search term high heels. Ideally, you eventually want to rank in the top 3 of the first page of the search engine result pages. However, to get your foot in the door, pun intended, you may want to also attempt to rank for some less popular keywords , such as red stiletto heels. This is because ranking high in the search engines for your main keyword may take several months, depending on the level of competition. So, if you search red stiletto heels, a website will come up that holds the number one spot for this keyword. This is where the analysis begins. Take whatever website that comes up in your search for the number one spot, and put the site name in the following directive (an instruction to a search engine) at Yahoo!. Type link domain: www.examplesitehere.com - site: www.examplesitehere.com. What this is asking the search engine is the following, give me the links to this domain, that is the (linkdomain:www.examplesitehere.com) part, and then exclude the links that are coming from the site itself, that is the (site:www.examplesitehere.com) part.

What you are going to get is a list (it might be rather large if you are in a major market) that is going to give you websites that have links to this industry leading site. This is very useful information, because it shows what sites are holding the links, and you are going to want to insert your site link on most of these sites to raise your site to page 1 of the search engine rankings.

Now that you have the list, you want to select which sites will give you the most backlink weight. Generally speaking, you want to find a site to link to that is highly related to your website. Once you do that you want to see how this site is viewed by the major search engines. Simply put, you want to check its authority status, and to do that, you need to check its PR(Page Rank). This is what Google uses to convey how they feel about a particular page.

So you can check a sites page rank to see if you would want a link from them. This is a broad way to check the link value a certain site has. It is very important that you make sure the content on the page where the link comes from is related to your site. You don't want to necessarily get links from mini skirt sites if you have the high heel site as mentioned above. You want to get links from sites that rank high for your keyword. If the site is a direct competitor, then it may be very difficult to get a link from them if they don't have a directory. Consequently, you need to concentrate on getting some links from further down the SERPS to get yourself started. When you are navigating other websites, looking for a place to put your link, ideally, you want a one way link. A one way link means that you get a link from the site to your page, but you do not give that site a link on your page. When you are first starting out, you want to attempt to only acquire one way links until you learn a bit more. The reason being that putting other people's links on your page, or reciprocal links as they are called, can drain your page's search engine ranking. To research why this happens I suggest reading about no follow links, page rank, and "link juice".

Other methods for acquiring backlinks are submitting your site to directories and posting to forums. Let's first examine directory submission. A directory is just a website on the Internet that has categories of links leading to particular websites. Some directories are easier to get into than others and there is healthy debate regarding the link weight that a particular directory can give you. When you are just starting out, especially in less competitive niches, backlinks are very important to climb the search engine, so you want to submit to any relevant directories you can find. To be very particular about your directory submissions would perhaps be a better strategy, but time is money, and the faster your site can climb the rankings, the better. So, generally, as long as the directory is just not a massive unrelated mess, you want to submit your site to it. Using our high heel site as an example again, start with the smallest niche your site fits into first, and then move out to larger categories. For example, if the high heel site talks about stilettos, then attempt to find a directory related to just stilettos. More than likely, you may just find a directory related to shoes or women's shoes, and you want to submit to those, but if you can find more specific directories, they will be more powerful for you.

Submitting to directories takes time, especially if you are in a huge general market like fashion. From the time you request a directory inclusion(you sometimes actually write to a contact e-mail or fill in fields on a submission page) to the time a link will appear that leads to your site, could be several weeks or months, depending on your market. Smaller niches are great for fast Serps rises, because as a general rule they will have smaller directories, which results in faster submission review, and ultimately link inclusion. If you go too small, then finding directories will be difficult, and you may just end up submitting to large directories that will take forever to include you, and this may not help your Serps ranking much in the long run. For micro niches there are better methods for acquiring backlinks, and one of these methods is forum posting with links in your signature(links to your site in your forum posts, below the actual text you type).

Signature posting in forums is said by some not be an effective form of backlink acquisition, because the forum may prevent the guests of the forum(who are not registered members), and search engine bots(mathematically driven drones that look for backlinks), from seeing the links, thus negating their weight. This is true to some extent, however, in forums where not many people have links in their signature area, backlinks can hold more weight, because bots are only seeing a few links with all this related content(forum banter) surrounding your link.

In summation, forum signature links can give you some link juice(seo jargon for something that helps you rise in serps), and they are very effective in other ways. When you place links to your site in your signature, people can simply click on them to be directed to your website and become a member of your site if it is membership driven. Additionally, visitors can also arrive on your page and hopefully click on an ad or affiliate link. You build a reputation through your posts, and cultivate a readership and/or membership to your site. It is one of the best ways to grow a new niche site, and all it costs is your time.

There are some other ways, besides using yahoo linkdomain and yahoo site explorer, that can help you find places to submit your site's link. Below are some link commands that you can use in Google. These commands work well to locate pages on websites that let you submit a link to your site. The keywords are just examples, and you would replace them with your keywords.

Intitle:add+your+site+url "keyword"

Intitle:directory "keyword"

Intitle: add+url "keyword"

Intitle:submit+url "keyword"

purses "submit url"

fashion "add link"

fashion "submit your blog"

fashion "submit your site"

There are also some commands to find blogs and forums that would be relevant posting areas. Some of these commands:

"add comment" keyword or "leave a comment" keyword, generally used to find some blogs as blog platforms use add comment or leave comment

"new topic" keyword or "new thread" keyword , "post reply" keyword, this is great for finding forums to talk with people who share similar interests as most forum software uses new topic or one of the other phrases just shown.

Another good idea to get in on conversation immediately is to do searches in Google, such as, posted December 12, 2007 Gucci. This is used by blogs or forums to indicate a message was left on this day. So if you have a relevant site, then writing some relevant comments and submitting your site link will bring you traffic and relevant backlinks.

Successful backlink acquisition is essential to building a site that will rank on the first page of the search engines. If you are serious about making money on the Internet, you must learn as much as you can about backlinks, and the aforementioned information should give you a good start.

Article Submission Strategies - Which of These 3 Article Submission Mistakes Are You Making?

Article marketing requires that you submit your articles to the article directories. While article submission seems like a relatively simple process, there are many mistakes that can be made, and you might not even know you are making them.

The most common article submission mistakes

Let's take a look at the three most common article submission mistakes and what to do instead.

1. Confusion between where you submit your articles vs. how you submit your articles - In my experience, while where you submit your articles is important, how you submit them is much more important. You can submit your articles to the top directories, not submit them well, and not get much response. You can submit your articles to less popular directories, submit them well, and get a great response.

2. Having no article submission strategy - Most article writers approach submitting their articles with the strategy of getting it done and over with as quickly possible. This is a bad strategy. You want to take your time and have a strategy that uses your keywords in all five article submission fields in the article directories.

3. Not automating your article submission process - No, I am not referring to having a service submit your articles to hundreds of directories. Again, that is where you submit your articles, or article distribution. What I am talking about is using automation tools to speed up the process of submitting your articles. You can use software such as short keys lite to type in content that you use over and over for your keywords. In EzineArticles you can have up to three resource boxes pre-programmed and ready to choose and use from the drop down box.

I invite you to use these article submission strategies.

The Top 10 Article Marketing Mistakes

In no particular order, here are 10 of the most common mistakes that Article Writers make:

# 1) Creating an un-targeted title: The title of an article is arguably the most important factor in getting it read. If the title is not eye-catching or interesting, you have most likely wasted your time in writing it, as no one will read it.

# 2) Including the article summary in the article body: The summary of an article is meant to provide some insight as to what the article is about. The summary is not supposed to be the first paragraph of the article. Many article directories will reject your article if you include the article summary in the Article Summary field as well as the Article Body. After reading the article summary, your viewers should not be reading the same paragraph over again.

# 3) Including your Website links inside the article body: When you are writing the body of your article, you should have the interest of your viewers in mind, not yourself. This is not only frowned upon by most article directories it is also poor marketing. Use the signature block to promote your links, as that is what it is for.

# 4) Using hard-link breaks in your article: Many people believe that the use of hard-line breaks will make the article easier to read. Whether this is true or not, it looks very unprofessional and most article directories will reject your article because of it. A hard-line break is created when an article does not wrap naturally. In other words, the writer hits the return (enter) key in the middle of a sentence to make the line shorter. Just write your paragraphs in a normal format (like this article) and you will not have anything to worry about.

#5) Submitting to an irrelevant category: This is a common mistake that constantly costs Authors valuable Website traffic. Most article directories offer email alerts and RSS feeds. These alerts and feeds are used more than you may think. Ezine publishers frequently sign up for email alerts in the categories that are relevant to their list. If your article is submitted elsewhere you could easily lose valuable exposure.

# 6) Including an irrelevant signature block: Contrary to popular belief, the primary benefit to article marketing is not link building. Even if it were, having a link on an irrelevant page will not do you much good. It is all about getting people to first read your article and second to follow-through to the links in your signature block. With this in mind, why would you talk about your dog care Website in the signature block for an article on SEO (for example)? It just doesnt make sense. But, the article directory publishers love it, as the viewer will stay on their Website and click on their adverts rather than yours.

#7) Failing to include the http:// prefix within links: This is normally an honest mistake. Although link building is not the biggest benefit to article marketing, it is a factor. Also, most people who are browsing the web are looking for quick resources. If they cannot just click on a link they will move on. Even if the article directory software makes the link active without the http:// prefix, it will most likely not be active when/if it gets picked up by ezine/newsletter owners.

#8) Stuffing keywords into the article body: If you are not familiar with Latent Semantic Indexing (LSI) I will tell you that it is the future of search. Many people believe that Google, for one, has already implementing this new complex software that more or less relates certain keywords with other related terms. This means that keyword density is a thing of the past and may actually hurt you if your keywords are placed in a unnatural way. You should always be writing for people, not search engines!

#9) Submitting Private Label Rights (PLR) content: Submitting content that you do not own the full rights to is not only going to do you little to no good marketing wise, as it is either all over the Internet or will be in the future, it may very well get your account suspended with the sites that you submit it to. I still see it on a weekly (sometimes daily) basis though.

#10) Submitting to hundreds of different article sites: Mass article submission is a method of the past and is not longer effective. The Search Engine algorithms are getting more and more complex by the day. Not only is it considered a light form of spam to the search engines, serious Ezine and Newsletter publishers frown upon it as well.

Money Article Marketing

Articles get really high page rankings with search engines. By just spending no more than a month writing articles, you can use them to create residual income. That means that the articles that you wrote, that only took 10 minutes to make, will be making you income even though you haven't even been on the computer. So how can you make some money from articles? Here are some easy ways that you can make money using article marketing.

  • Using the bum marketing method is the most used income generator for article marketers. This is the money making tactic of signing up with a free affiliate program and writing articles in order to get people to your affiliate website. This is the most effective way to make some cash online without spending any amounts of money!
  • When you have enough articles written, you can put all of your greatest articles together, and make an ebook. Ebooks sell well in the online market, especially if they have reseller rights. You can make an ebook with your articles and sell them on ebay, amazon, or even your own shopping cart. Mind you, in order to do this, you will need your own website domain.
  • Selling off your own articles is a viable way to make some money through your article marketing efforts. If you can create an article that gets a high amount of web traffic, you can sell it off to someone and they can input their link in your resource box instead of your own.
Keep in mind these are just some simple ways to make money online with article marketing. I hope you the best of success!

Niche Marketing Strategies - Finding A Market Niche To Target

One of the toughest niche marketing strategies to master at first is finding a market niche that is the right level of granularity. If you go too broad, you're likely going to be competing against a lot of other advertisers and, consequently, your advertising budget will have to be massive to compensate for that. On the flip side of the coin, if you go too specific on your niche market, you run the risk of excluding too many potential buyers and limiting your possibility of success.

For example, if you're going to go after the weight loss market, and you decide to target a phrase like "weight loss" or "lose weight", you need to be prepared to spend hundreds or even thousands of dollars on advertising before you even make a sale. Why? Because the market is huge and highly competitive and major advertisers will pay upwards of $10 per click for the term "weight loss".

An important note is how generic a term like "weight loss" is. Going after a generic term like this is going to get tons of curiosity clicks...people looking for free information on losing weight but not really looking to buy anything. I'm sure I don't have to tell you that that's not what you want as an Internet marketer, especially if you're doing Pay-Per-Click advertising.

So, how do you go about finding a market niche? Let's say we have a great weight-loss information product that we're looking to sell. We've already established that targeting the market as a whole is a bad idea so let's look deeper. Who really, urgently NEEDS your product in this market? Who would be willing to spend money on it RIGHT now? Perhaps people who need to lose weight quickly for an upcoming event.

For example: Women who want to lose weight before their wedding, or men who want to get in shape for spring break at the beach. You will likely be able to target these niches with phrases like: "lose 20 pounds for wedding" or "lose my gut in 30 days".

You see, those are the types of niche markets were looking for. These are people who will be willing to spend money right now, if you can convince them that your product is the solution to their problem. Obviously, finding the right keywords in these markets is critical to success.

Another important note is to not get too granular here. Deciding to go after something like "how can I lose 18 lbs in time for my wedding in Cancun in June" is not going to rake in a lot of profit. There simply won't be enough people searching for it to make it worthwhile. You need to find the right balance of search volume vs. competition in order to realize maximum profits, and that isn't always easy to do.

Now, some of the more experienced marketers have the system and information down to a science and can quickly do this analysis manually, but they are the exception, not the rule. Most, if not all, successful niche marketers use one or more types of niche finder software to help them with finding a market niche and associated keywords that will be profitable.

If you are just starting out, or experienced but are looking to increase the effectiveness of your campaigns, I highly recommend buying a good niche finder software package and using it to maximize your campaigns and develop better niche marketing strategies.

For an in-depth review of the niche finder software I use to quickly expose lucrative niche markets, go to http://www.squidoo.com/Niche-Finder-Software

Article Marketing - How To Write Conclusions And Resource Boxes That Pull In Clicks Like Crazy

Here's your chance to discover how to write hypnotizing conclusions and resource boxes for your articles that increase your clickthrough rates through the roof. In this article, we are going to look at these two important components of an Internet article and how to fully utilize them for maximum effectiveness.

Your conclusion can be comprised of one of two things: a summary of your article, or some additional insight that will end your article with a bang, so to speak. Your summary can simply be just a few sentences stating the important points of your main copy and what the reader should do next. Always provide a call-to-action at the end of your article by telling him to take action on the points you have discussed or by clicking through to your website to find out more. You should always get your reader to take action on the techniques discussed in your article. Otherwise the article is no good for anyone.

For your resource box, you want to do the same thing - get your readers to take action. Usually, this means clicking through to your website. You won't get many clickthroughs simply giving them a link to click on at the end of the article. You must get your readers to act by writing a compelling call-to-action.

For example, in the golf niche, I might write:

"Discover How A Golfing Newbie Embarrassed Experienced Pros In The Space Of A Year Using These Covert Golf Techniques!" Click Here To Receive Your Free Report In Your Email Inbox

You must write something out of the ordinary to get the interest and attention of your readers. However, don't lie about stuff. Keep it honest yet interesting and many people will click through to your link to see your offer.

Receive the Highest Potential by Tracking Your Articles

The basics of writing an article include doing research and composing an article on a single topic of about 500 words. The topic should be something that's of interest to your target market. At the end of an article is the resource box, which contains your bio details as well as the specifics of the product or service that pertains to the article.

Once you've completed the task of writing the article, the next step is to make it known. Typically, this will occur through the submission of the articles to directories. Article directories close the gap between the writer and the publisher. Once the publisher decides to include your article on their website or in their newsletter, it will take place on the condition that the resource box is included. Therefore, the writer gains publicity and the publisher gains worthwhile content.

The remaining aspect of article marketing is the tracking. Tracking is necessary for determining which directory your website traffic comes from. For example, if you are submitting your articles to a number of directories, you will be interested in knowing which one produces the most valuable results. This will save you time when it comes to knowing which article directories to use. You'll also be able to conclude the steps you need to take in order to achieve higher search engine rankings.

Just as web hits and keyword ranking are valuable stats to have, the number of pages indexed and the amount of back links each article gained is also important. However, tracking these items is going to take up a lot of time. Don't lose sight of what's most important in the equation: writing articles.

Advanced Article Marketing Secrets - Learn How To Turn A Reader Into A Paying Customer

Article marketing is a really good way to promote your business. Unfortunately, I see very few people who make the most of it and get it to work for them.

The main problem is that very few people will actually get it right. Those who do will earn an insane amount of money online. In this article I would like to go over the steps that you need to take to monetize your article traffic.

When you create your website I suggest that you develop a high converting squeeze page. You will include a link to this page in your resource when you submit your articles to directories. Let us examine in detail why you would want to do this. If you send your visitor a sales page it will be very unlikely that they will buy from you the very first time. The best way to do this is to first capture the name and email address.

This allows you to send an ecourse and first warm your prospect up. This will significantly improve your conversion. It allows you to first develop a relationship with your prospect before you sell to them. Now the really important part is that you will build a database of leads that you can market to over and over again. Which would you prefer a one time sale or repeat sales from loyal customers.

Unfortunately, very few article marketers do this. Many market an affiliate product directly by including their own domain name which redirects to an affiliate product. Consequently they are leaving big money on the table.
