The How And What Of Ezine Advertising

Advertising has always been a good way of creating online traffic for websites. However, with Ezine advertising that good can easily be made much better, in fact excellent. This is because Ezines are not only very targeted, but they are also opt-in, and distributed through emails. What this means is that they receive more attention than an advertisement casually posted somewhere else - since they are more "qualified".

Several entrepreneurs often post a paid commercial in an Ezine as one of the initial ways of advertising for online marketing. This is a foolproof system of getting targeted visitors to your site.

Importantly, you must think of a perfect title that will help you to attract readers or they will only casually look through your page and miss your post completely. Coming up with such a great title may take some time. You can jot down as many come to your mind, then take a look at them again and select the one that stands out. Then polish and work on them. If you feel some words need to be changed or placed somewhere else then do that until you are confident that you can now invest some money on a commercial.

Now let's talk about the body. Here you should follow the editorial guidelines of Ezines for word limit and format, but generally, the rest of the advertisement will just be three or four small sentences. Settle for a body that rouses the curiosity of readers even more by sharing intriguing knowledge about your online business.

Then again, you may want to have a sense of the audience of the Ezine. How many people do you have on the database to send it out to? Is it the correct market for your online marketing business? Are the demographics right for conducting your business?

It will be just be a matter of 4 ways within which you can promote your site through Ezines:

* Solo Ads: This is primarily a direct mail offer to the list of the Ezine. It is a mail shot that just includes your bid, and nothing else. It can become the Ezine tool that lets you have the best reaction.

* Sponsor Ads: This is a commercial at the head of the Ezine and comes to the notice of all subscribers. It's nice, although you have to share room with other content and with other potential advertisers too. Hence, nice, but not as effective as solo ads.

* Classifieds: This is simply what newspapers carry every day. It is a brief ad within a particular framework inside the Ezine. Classified commercials are usually inexpensive. However, they do not enjoy the same mileage as Sponsored or Solo ads.

* Ezine Articles: A little more varied way for Ezine advertising is to print an article inside the Ezine. Ezine publishers are forever on the lookout for content and will frequently permit you to use space for a short biographical note and back link to your website.

All or any of the methods mentioned above are useful procedures for giving a boost to the online traffic to your profile. Pick any one of them as a good reason for making Ezine advertising a part of your internet marketing strategy.

Article Marketing & Submission - How to Write a Really Bad Resource Box for Your Articles

Do you know how to write a really bad resource box for your articles? Well you will after reading and using this article.

Bad resource box tips

As an article writing and marketing coach I've seen some pretty bad resource boxes. Here are a few tips so you too can write a really bad resource box.

Tip 1 -- no resource box -- believe it or not I've seen people leave the resource box blank. Nothing. Nada. Zip.

Solution -- at least get something in there.

Tip 2 -- your virtual ego wall -- write down every accomplishment you've ever made. List your degrees, books written, and how much your parents really like you.

Solution -- the resource box is not about you. A great resource box is all about the reader and what's in it for them.

Tip 3 -- convince the reader you are an expert -- talk about all your years experience and how you are in the expert in this area.

Solution -- if you have not convinced the reader that you are an expert in your article, it's way too late to do it now. Again, resource box is not about you it's about your reader.

Tip 4 -- do not ask the reader to do anything. I fail to take someone who has just read information from you and invite them to do anything else at all.

Solution -- create compelling call to action that takes the reader by the hand and not only asks them shows them what to do next.

Tip 5 -- do not include any active links back to your website or blog. Treat the reader like someone watching the final episode of the Sopranos and just leave them hanging.

Solution -- include at least one active link back to your website or blog so the reader can engage you further.

Follow these tips and you too can create bad resource box is when writing your articles.

Powerful Article Marketing - 7 Most Inventive Techniques to Earn More Money With Article Marketing

In the very competitive world of marketing, it is important to be pioneering in every aspect of your marketing strategies. By being a pioneer, you get to be privileged to test and experiment on your strategies and own the results (positive or the otherwise). This is the reason why a lot of marketers are continuously developing inventive techniques to facilitate article marketing. Below are some of these techniques:

1. Come up with a strongly catching headline. The title or the headline of the article gets the popularity for a mere number of seconds. With this given time, you have to ensure that you are able to catch the attention and interest of your potential clients.

2. Follow this up with a powerful introduction of what your whole article is conveying. This may be in a form of a declaration of a promise or good things that you can offer. Make sure though that you keep up to this promise when you reach the end of the whole article.

3. Keep your articles short and compacted but very meaningful and essential. The time that net users utilize on the net should be deemed very important and you can show your understanding by giving them short time read your article but more essential information to obtain after.

4. Make an easy to read article. Usually, enlisted and bulleted items are more preferred to be scanned and read rather than the lengthy and wordy paragraphs.

5. Avoid highly technical terms. People who may be reading your articles may not have the same skill set. Instead of wondering what terms to use, make use of the more conversational ones.

6. Always check your articles for any errors. These errors may have been committed on grammar or sentence patterns. Make sure that you make the necessary editing prior to the actual publication of the article material.

7. Create a resource box that will be enough to let the readers know who the writer is representing.

Article Marketing For Profit - Some Places Where You Can Sell Your Writings

Today, there are dozens of places where you can sell your articles. Typically these resources will fit into one of three categories. Depending on your writing style, how quickly you want to make money, and how much you want to make, one venue may work better than another. Without fail, as you develop better writing skills, you will be able to command higher rates no matter what market you choose.

First, you can purchase a market directory, such as Writer's Digest. This is ideal for writers that want to follow a traditional path to paper based publication. Unfortunately, if you have not sold articles before, or are new to the business of writing, it may be very difficult to break in. On the other hand, once you do make a sale, you can expect upwards of $30.00 per article. You may also want to try ezine publications. While they may not pay as much, they will give you some much needed name recognition.

Second, you may want to try offering your services at various freelance work sites. Typically, the articles you write will be designed based on customer specifications. You will also be working as a ghost writer, meaning that your name will never appear in conjunction with the article. Typically, you will be lucky if you get paid $2.00 to $5.00 per article at the beginning.

Irregardless of which method you choose, you should be able to make a decent living. Depending on sales volume, you may even want to work with both markets, and see if you can duplicate success in both places. One thing is for certain, you will always be learning something new, and enjoying the benefit of working on your own.

Making Your Links More Valuable To Search Engines

In the world of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) links are valuable. However, some links are less valuable than others. In fact some links are almost worthless from an SEO standpoint.

The specifics on how websites are ranked are closely guarded secrets. If this information were public knowledge, every site would be perfectly optimized and the search engines would be of no value. Although there is no certainty when it comes to search engine preferences, we can make certain assumptions based on history and experience.

The use of anchor text links is thought to carry some weight with the search engines. An anchor text link includes a few descriptive words which, if clicked, will take you a different website or page. The actual website address is hidden within the html code of the website.

But, some links carry more weight than others. The more common descriptive words used with anchor text links is the term "Click Here." Unless 'click here' is one of the keywords listed on your website, it is useless as far as the search engines go. I more valuable text link is "Your Site's Name" or Your Site Keyword." This type of link carries much more weight in the eyes of the search engines.

How do I know this? I have two sites that I almost always promote together. They were designed from the same template so neither one has an SEO advantage over the other. For one site I have always used the site name in the anchor text. In the other, I use different names in the anchor text.

The one that I use the site name in the anchor text has a page rank of 3. The other site, which is slightly older, has a page rank of 2. Although the difference is not earth shattering, in the world of SEO, I'll take every little advantage that I can get. By making small changes like this, you may end up with improved site rankings. And by using a number of these small SEO improvements, you might see significant improvement in your over all site rankings and in your Internet business.

As many writers would attest, article marketing is never an easy task especially for first times. You will be undergoing a lot of thinking and re-thinking, writing and re-writing, research and investigation just so you can reach the perfection of a single article. A lot of writers have developed and re-designed their own paradigms of effective article marketing just so they can be able to have a more solid and dependable theories on how to improve the craft of article marketing. Below are the three most innovative and inventive techniques to uplift the standards of article marketing:

1. Come up with as much topics and sub-topics as you can. Trim these down into what you may consider as topics which you are most passionate about. After having these topics trimmed down, make sure that you make a list of priorities from among the topics that you have selected. Number them in accordance to your interest and the availability of resources to support your ideas when you begin writing them.

2. Draft the article. Prior to commencing your article writing, make sure that you are able to come up with a concrete draft of the article material that you are going to write. The draft may contain a structure on how you plan to write it down - an outline. Create the draft based on the free flow of your own ideas first and have these ideas supported by your textual references.

3. Write down the final article material. Make sure that you do not deviate from the draft that you have made to ensure that your ideas are anchored from the same direction. The actual writing will be a lot less burdensome when you basically follow what you have drafted at first. You can make some necessary revisions however; do not go overly exaggerated in revising things.

Advantages of Viral Marketing Through Content Distribution

The principle of viral marketing works very much like a computer virus. Left unchecked, a computer virus will affect one PC to the next. But unlike a computer virus, which is harmful, viral marketing is harnessed for good. It is very effective in spreading word about your business. The logic is very simple. Catch it, and then pass it on.

So, how does viral marketing fit with content distribution? I'm glad you asked. If you offer high quality articles, white papers, reports, ecourses or ebooks, you can be sure that they will be passed around to others, and others will pass them on to others and so on and so forth thus producing a 'viral' effect.

Unlike a computer virus, this kind of virus works for you and it harms no one. Soon you'll find your writings circulating around the Internet.

Drive targeted web traffic to your site

An effective way to introduce your website is through content distribution. Targeted visitors will arrive at your website when they click the links in your ebooks or resource box at the end of your articles. You stand to gain more website traffic through the 'viral' effect of content distribution.

Earn credibility

Writing quality articles, ezines, ecourses, ebooks, white papers and reports will quickly establish you as an expert in your field. You will earn credibility if the content you have written provides solutions to people's problems. That's the reason why 'How tos' articles and ebooks are popular and in great demand.

Increase link popularity

Another advantage of distributing free content is gathering inbound links. When people post your articles or distribute your ebooks on their website they are in essence providing one-way links to your website. If these one-way links originate from quality websites it will boost the pagerank of your web page. Writing and distributing quality articles or ebooks will increase your web page link popularity.

Make backend sales

The primary reason experienced marketers offer free content is to build their opt-in lists. They offered what they termed 'front end products' in the form of free content. Their strategy is to get people to their website to signup for their mailers. Eventually through the mailers they make 'backend sales'.

Make extra income through affiliate programs

Another added advantage of distributing free content via ebooks is the opportunity to make extra income through affiliate programs. You could easily insert affiliate links into your ebooks. Some words of caution here though...

1.You must insert affiliate links that are relevant to the content of your ebook.

2.Insert affiliate links strategically, discretely and sparingly. Don't turn your ebook into one mega sales promotion. Provide your readers with quality content, not sales pitch.

Most newbies to Internet marketing do not take advantage of the effectiveness of viral marketing to make profits and build their opt-in lists. Their hands are already full, learning how to start and run their online business, that they have no time to write quality content for distribution.

Any aspiring online marketer should invest time to research and write quality content for distribution or invest money to hire someone to do the job. After all, the Internet is about information. Majority of people surf the Net to harvest information first and foremost. So, quality content is in great demand now and will still be in the future.
